Itinerary:

Day 1 (D)
This morning, we will be collected from our door and transferred to the Gold Coast Airport to board our direct flight to Canberra. Once arrived we will be transferred to our hotel where we will indulge in a 2 course early dinner before heading out for Nightfest evening.
See Commonwealth Park illuminated with vibrant colours, enjoy an amazing program of live music on two stages, captivating cabaret in the Kazador Tent, roving entertainment, market stalls and fantastic food and drinks at NightFest this year.
After the success of the sell-out Spiegeltent at NightFest last year, this year we are thrilled to announce our new Kazador tent hosting another adults only (18+) ticketed show with the Kiss Bang Cabaret. ( 7pm)
Kiss Bang cabaret is described as risque, silly and hilarious, combining comedy, circus, burlesque and cabaret delectably smashed together to give a wildly entertaining ride.
Overnight: QT Canberra or similar

Day 2 (B, L, D)
This morning we will head to Tulip tops. If you thought The Floriade was good, then this is outstanding. You will be in tulip heaven! – Lunch at Tulip Tops
Then we will head to Floriade for the afternoon and we will join an exclusive gardening tour and be guided through the garden beds. From designing the flower bed displays to what types of flowers we use, our gardening team will share interesting tidbits and insider information on what it takes to produce the largest flower show in the Southern Hemisphere!
Floriade is located on a four-hectare site. The circuit around Floriade is approximately 1.6km and contains some loose granite pathways. We recommend you wear sensible footwear and take all necessary precautions to prevent injury to yourself or those in your party.
A limited number of wheelchairs, walking frames, electric mobility scooters and strollers will be available for hire on site from the Mobility Marquee. The Floriade train will also be in operation, and is a lovely way to see and move around the site. (Included in your tour)
Dinner at QT Canberra – Two course dinner.

Day 3 (B, L, D)
This morning after breakfast we cruise over to the coast for lunch at Mossy on Pacific at Mossy Point. We then have a stop in the colourful, characterful village of Central Tilba that sits beneath Gulaga (mother mountain) for some cheese, ice cream and eclectic crafty gift shops. Step back in time with the village’s perfectly preserved old world colonial era buildings, nestled amongst forever green rolling hills.
It’s then on to our lovely beachside accommodation in Tathra. Bordered by Mimosa Rocks National Park to the north and Bournda National Park to the south, Tathra is a relaxed coastal haven known for its award-winning Sydney Rock Oysters, and the iconic Tathra Steamer Wharf.
Tonight we have a private, catered, two course dinner at our accommodation.
Overnight: Tathra Beach House Apartments, 57 Andy Poole Dr Tathraor similar

Day 4 (B, L, D)
This morning we head to the seaside hamlet of Eden, bound to the north and south by Beowa National Park and set in magnificent Twofold Bay – the third deepest natural harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. This historical town is famous for its intriguing whale history and the tale of the wild killer whales who hunted with the Yuin people, and later with European settlers. Eden is known as one of the most premier whale watching locations in Australia and each spring, thousands of humpbacks visit Eden on their way home to Antarctica.
We will visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum – originally built to house the skeleton of an orca known as Old Tom. While spotlighting the plight of killer whales in these waters, this museum has grown into a shrine to Eden’s marine life and maritime history. We will then take a scenic drive around Eden town for some whale spotting, have a leisurely stroll downhill to Aislings Beach, and then head to Boydtown for a two course lunch at historic Seahorse Inn.
It’s then off to the ridiculously spectacular Green Cape Lightstation in Beowa national Park for a private guided tour with one of the National Park Discovery Rangers. The southernmost lighthouse in NSW, Green Cape Lighthouse also entered record books when it was built in 1883 as Australia’s first concrete lighthouse tower. If you feel up to it, you can climb all the way to the top to enjoy panoramic views over the ominously named Disaster Bay.
Dinner is on our way back to Tathra at the recently renovated and absolutely glamorous Hotel Australasia in Eden.

Day 5 (B, L, D)
This morning we again head south to Merimbula for our whale watching tour with Sapphire Coastal Adventures. From September to November, the Sapphire Coast is one of the world’s best locations to view the epic Humpback Whale’s annual southern migration from the Great Barrier Reef to Antarctica. You often don’t have to travel far off the coast to be up close and personal with whales feeding, and to see mothers teaching their calves how to breach and tail flop!
After our whale watching adventure out to sea, we head back to Merimbula Wharf for a guided tour of the aquarium, followed by a delicious two course lunch at the Wharf Restaurant. The views from the wharf are magnificent, and there’s a very good chance that we will see whales and dolphins close by. After lunch we will head back to Tathra Headland for a short bushwalk for those that are keen. Dinner is at Tathra Hotel, also on Tathra Headland (yes, more spectacular views and whale spotting!)

Day 6 (B, L, D)
Today we we head north into Mimosa Rocks National Park, to Aragunnu. The park takes its name from the Paddle Steamer Mimosa that wrecked in 1863 after running onto rocks at the northern end of the park. The rocks of Mimosa have distinctive castle-like features that are the result of intricate folds, faults and intrusions occurring in the rock. We will take a stroll along the interpretive boardwalk to read about the indigenous history of the area, the wreck of the Mimosa, and to enjoy he beautiful coastal scenery.
We will continue north through the park and have lunch in Bermagui – the small, vibrant seaside town that hugs the edges of its spectacular harbour under the shadow of Mt Gulaga and known for its breathtaking scenery. After lunch we will enjoy a couple of Exclusive Casino Travel Shoppe surprises (!) on our way back to Tathra. Dinner is at Drift Tathra.

Day 7 (B, L, D)
Today we say goodbye to the beautiful, unspolit and wonderfully wild Sapphire Coast and make our way home to Canberra via Cooma. We will have a guided tour (hopefully by one of the inmates) of the extremely fascinating State Correctional Museum at Cooma Gaol, and lunch at the always fabulous Lott Cafe. There may be one or two final little Casino Travel Shoppe surprises before we head back to Canberra
